Celebrate the Impact of 私人影院 Graduates

私人影院 is proud to participate in the Premier鈥檚 Awards, a prestigious program administered by Colleges Ontario since 1992. These awards recognize the exceptional achievements of college graduates who are making meaningful contributions to Ontario, Canada, and communities around the world.

We invite you to help us recognize outstanding alumni by nominating a 私人影院 graduate whose work demonstrates leadership, innovation, and impact in their field. If you are a 私人影院 graduate, we warmly encourage you to consider nominating yourself.

Selected 私人影院 winners will be celebrated and invited to attend the 2026 Higher Education Summit in Toronto this November.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Eligible nominees must:

  • Be a graduate of 私人影院
  • Demonstrate significant achievement in one of the award categories
  • Cannot be a previous Premier's Awards winner (graduates  who have been a Premier's Award nominee are   still eligible for this year's awards.)


 

Award Categories

Nominations are accepted in the following eight categories:

Entrepreneurship and Economic Development

Celebrates graduates who drive economic growth, innovation, and enterprise through business ventures, industry advancement, or initiatives that create opportunity and long-term resilience.

Community Impact

Recognizes graduates who improve quality of life and contribute to stronger, more inclusive communities through leadership, service, or initiatives that address social, economic, or community needs.

Cultural and Creative Achievement

Honours graduates whose creativity and cultural contributions inspire others and influence communities, including work in arts, media, design, or creative expression.

Healthcare Innovation

Celebrates graduates improving health care accessibility, strengthening frontline services, and advancing medical innovation or public health systems.

Workforce and Skilled Trades Achievement

Recognizes graduates who strengthen the workforce through skills development, training, or industry contributions within skilled trades or technical fields.

STEM Innovation

Honours graduates applying science, technology, engineering, and math to solve problems and drive progress through research, innovation, and technical solutions.

Francophone Outreach

Celebrates graduates who support and strengthen francophone communities through leadership, advocacy, or engagement initiatives.

Change Maker

Recognizes graduates whose leadership or innovative approach creates transformative impact, often spanning multiple sectors or redefining traditional boundaries.

Nominate someone today, and help us celebrate the leaders, innovators, and changemakers in our communities.

Step 1

Complete the .

Nomination Deadline

Nominations close on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 4:00 pm.

NOTE:   You can nominate yourself or you can nominate another individual.

Step 2

The 私人影院 Alumni Office will review the submissions and confirm the individual is a graduate and will reach out to for more information, if required.

Step 3

All eligible nominees will be presented to a selection committee, which will determine one award winner during the week of July 13, 2026.  

Step 4

The 私人影院 Alumni Office will contact the winner to complete the Colleges Ontario Awards of Excellence nomination package and to review details related to the 2026 Higher Education Summit Conference.


 

Attend the 2026 Higher Education Summit

Each college鈥檚 Premier's Award winner will be welcomed to attend the 2026 Higher Education Summit, taking place at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto from November 28鈥30, 2026.

During the Summit, recipients will have the opportunity to meet other Premier's Awards recipients and may also be nominated for an Award of Excellence within their respective award category.

JP Gladu

Category: Business
Forest Technician, 1991

JP Gladu headshot

JP Gladu, Founder and Principal of Mokwateh, previously led the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business, launching initiatives such as The Aboriginal Business Report. He spearheaded the 'Procurement Champions' initiative, driving billions in investments into Canada鈥檚 Indigenous economy. Gladu serves on multiple corporate boards and is a senior fellow at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute. An advocate for Indigenous leadership, he received the Public Policy Award in 2024. His college education transformed his academic struggles into a successful forestry career, forming the basis for his significant contributions to the industry and Indigenous business.

 

Carter Simpson

Carter Simpson headshot

Special Olympic medalist Carter Simpson is an inspiration to all that meet him. He does not see that he has a disability, saying 鈥淚 love having Down Syndrome鈥. He has embodied Fitness and Health Promotion in his everyday life. College education prepared Carter and gave him the confidence to gain independence in the adult world. He continues to win medals, but above all, he encourages people of all ages and abilities to reach their potential. Every day is a celebration for Carter, with a flash of his smile and the crinkle of his eyes, he lights up a room.
